Canada's second-largest city, Montreal, is a flourishing urban center with a broad mix of cultural attractions and a mix of French and English flair to lend this destination affable foreign airs.
In 1941, the creation of the Grand Coulee Dam on the Columbia River led to another creation: that of Lake Roosevelt and its miles of shoreline and more miles of open water. Lake Roosevelt is a long, narrow lake, stretching 150 miles toward Canada, but rarely wider than a mile. In a sense, navigating between its shores resembles navigating a vast, leisurely river.
From Seattle: Lake Roosevelt Marina is about 363 miles away from Seattle. To get there, take I-90 East from Seattle for about 279 miles. Take exit #281/Newport onto US-2 East. Take this for 6 miles, then turn onto US-365 North for 64 miles. You'll reach a traffic circle. Take the second exit back onto US-395, which you'll take for 10 miles. Turn left on WA-25, take a right onto William's Street, and you'll find the marina at 4105 W Williams Street, Kettle Falls.
